Mr. Jim Phalan, President, Co-Owner
As President, Mr. Jim Phalan will be in charge of the operations and development of all three Nevada locations and will be involved in the oversight of future California stores in an advisory capacity. Mr. Phalan has had a strong career as an entrepeneur, founding three individual companies within the last 5 years. At his most recent venture, ResortWiFi, a leader in wireless Internet deployment in the Time Share industry, he ran a tight ship, reducing cost while maximizing revenue to become a leader in the industry. Mr. Phalan has been responsible for managing staff, sales, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. The business was sold on February 1, 2007 to Wayport Inc., the largest wireless provider of high speed internet access in the world.
Mr. Jeff Phalan, Vice President, Co-Owner
Mr. Jeff Phalan has over 15 years of professional sales, marketing, and business development experience at many of Silicon Valley’s top semiconductor companies, including Intel, AMD, and National Semiconductor. His successful achievement of individual and team-based quotas ranging from $5-80 million has earned him a number of accolades, including recognition as the company’s top global account manager in 2003 for incremental revenue of $19 million, and again in 2004 for both incremental revenue of $30 million and gross revenue of $90 million for Cypress Semiconductor. Mr. Phalan will be involved in the oversight and decision making for the Carson City Firkin Pub, but his primary responsibilities will be overseeing High Sierra's two Northern California locations. He will utilize his extensive experience hiring, managing, and developing seasoned employees and will be active in the negotiations and decision making for High Sierra’s second pub location in Reno. Mr. Phalan will also continue to reside in Silicon Valley, and perform his regular duties as Regional Sales Manager for Vicor Corporation.
Mrs. Gabriela Phalan, Secretary, Co-Owner
Mrs. Phalan will act as Co-Owner and Secretary for High Sierra's Firkin Pub franchises. She will be using her broad experience in building and operating businesses in this new location. Mrs. Phalan planned and developed the opening of the Holiday Inn hotel in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico. While doing this she achieved an average occupation of 80% on the first year of operation and managed up to 120 employees at a time. As the general manager at this location, Mrs. Phalan developed the Holiday Inn hotel into the number one hotel on the island and it reached 88% occupancy. Also under her management, the hotel won the award for the "Best New-Comer of the Year" at the Bass Hotels and Resorts annual conference in 1999. Mrs. Phalan will continue working at the Holiday Inn as the Sales Manager for the US, Canada and Mexico, where she has been employed since 1997. |
